Today I have registered the car at the D.I.V. in Alken. It was just a formality, as within 5 minutes I was outside again with a license registration.

Funny how the procedure goes in Belgium:

  • You register the vehicle at DIV, so you get the license registration
  • The next day, the postman brings you one (!) license plate for the rear end of the car. He delivers this to you if you pay 30 euro cash at the door... Guys! It is 2019... But Belgium lives in a different era regarding this aspect :-(
  • With this license plate you can go to a local DIY shop to have the other license plate created.

So, we are almost there... At least we are on track for the upcoming 'Historisch Weekend' in Den Helder. Fingers crossed.
